A Little conversation about almost everything!

Dear Aaron,
The urge of keeping this as part of your childhood memory is compelling and I think this is quite good since we don't really have close conversation between just the two of us since the day you arrived from your Spring holiday in Malaysia (alone).

I always believe that 'talking' is part of your strength. After all, your name is chosen after the name of Prophet Haroon, the one that was known for his oratory skill! (^______^)

I love to have conversations with you because I love the way you ask questions and trying to understand the whole topic. I don't mind scratching head to answer your tricky-yet-honest questions because I know you will eventually get the point and I always satisfy with the way you comprehend to my explanation. Alhamdulillah.

Like tonight. you couldn't sleep despite the tiring 3-days and nights full of activities. Hence, our bedtime routine became a little too long as we went into (seems to me like) a very serious, never ending conversation.

Aaron: Ummi, I can't sleep coz I am afraid.
Ummi: Remember, we should not be afraid except only to Allah
Aaron: Yes, Allah and Shaitan
Ummi: You should not be afraid of shaitan. Shaitan is just one of Allah's creation like you, me, Hawwa, trees, ocean, etc. So why do you afraid of shaitan?
Aaron: Because shaitan is strong too
Ummi: No it is not. Allah is the strongest. And you know, you are even stronger than shaitan....
Aaron: (interjected before I finish) I know I know. I can fight shaitan! Erm.... How? I forgot... Oh yes... I have to pray!
Ummi: Yes, and memorize the quran. That's why you have to read quran and memorize the surah.
Aaron: But why shaitan afraid when I pray? he will go far away right?
Ummi: Because shaitan doesn't like when you pray to Allah and do what Allah asks you to do. Inshaa Allah, if you pray to Allah, Allah will protect you from shaitan.
Aaron: Ummi, Allah creates shaitan?
(Ummi nod)
Aaron: Us too?
(Nodding again)
Aaron: When did Allah create us? When we're born?
Ummi: Actually, Allah created you when you were inside your mother's womb
Aaron: Worm? is it good worm or bad worm?
(I think he got confused he thought I meant worm)
Ummi: It's not worm like the one that eat your teeth when you don't brush your teeth (haha I got him scared by saying cavity is worm to get him brush his teeth when he was smaller. I'll correct that later on)
Ummi: Its W.O.M.B its a sac. You know sac?
(Aaron shook his head)
Ummi: It's like a bag where baby stays there when he's inside his mom's belly
Aaron: I was there too when I was a tiny baby? Why baby stays there first?
Ummi: Because at that time baby was soooo small. he cannot feed himself, cannot move... He needs his mother's help to grow. Only when he's ready to live in the world, then Allah makes him out
Aaron: How does baby go out from the womb?
Ummi: Allah will make a way for it. There will be a tunnel and a hole to let the baby out.
Aaron: It comes out from the butt right? (I think I shouldn't say hole to make thing less complicated haha)
Ummi: Not butt
Aaron: Then?
I was about to say it but I didn't hahaha.
Ummi: Somewhere close to butt but not butt
Aaron: I can't see it right?
Ummi: Yeah
Aaron: Why?
Ummi: It is not important for you to see it now.
(But Aaron knew sometimes baby can't come out through the tunnel so the doctor has to cut the mom's belly to let the baby out. Just like his case)
Aaron: Errmmm....But I can't see Allah too? How is Allah looks like?
Ummi: I don't know how is Allah looks like. I can't see Allah too.
Aaron: But you said we can see Allah after we die and after we alive again right?
Ummi: Yes. You want to see Allah?
Aaron: Yeah yeah!!
Ummi: Then you have to do good and be good. Only good people can see Allah in the heaven
Aaron: But then, where is Allah now?
Ummi: Allah has His own place
Aaron: Is Allah in the outer space?
Ummi: Erm... not really. (I was hesitate to answer this)
Aaron: Oh is Allah outside the earth?
Ummi: Yes. OK the most important thing is, if you want to see Allah, you must be a good boy OK?
Aaron: OK Ummi.
The conversation didn't stop here. There was some discussions about how when you use your brain you'll become clever and vice versa but I think it's going to be too long.

I don't know how on earth a 6 years old boy can bombard questions non-stop. He didn't even pause long from one question to another. Well I guess, because he's a kid hence he is still full of wonder. I bet most of us (moms and dads) have been in this situation right? They want to know everything so instantly as if they are going to sit for an exam!

Oh Allah please bestow us with wisdom and patience in raising our children. Ameen!

Aaron: The final Ramadhan week

Hi friends, How's your Ramadhan? I'm doing good so far Alhamdulillah. I've got the chance to sahoor with my parents almost every morning. I volunteer myself to wake Ummi and Daddy up so that they don't miss their sahoor. I want to be an anak soleh. :P

Anyway... do you know that we are now in the last phase of Ramadhan month? I heard Ummi told Daddy this : "Alhamdulillah we've been given the chance to reach the final week of Ramadhan. Its the week where among the nights is a night better than a thousand months"

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power: And what will explain to thee what the Night of Power is? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by God's permission, on every errand: Peace!...This until the rise of morn! -Surah 97 The Holy Qur’an.

It is called laylatul Qadr, the most blessed night. It falls sometimes within the last ten days of Ramadhan.

"Seek it in Ramadan in the last ten nights. For verily, it is during the odd nights, the twenty-first, or the twenty-third, or the twenty-fifth, or the twenty-seventh, or the twenty-ninth, or during the last night." Sahih Hadith Ahmad 5:318

This night is full of reward and blessing and is equivalent to a thousand nights of worship. Anyone who takes part in Laylatul Qadr will have worshipped an equivalent of eighty three years and three months. It is as if a person has spent an entire lifetime in non-stop worship!

“Whoever stays up (in prayer and remembrance of Allah) on the Night of Qadr fully believing (in Allah’s promise of reward for that night) and hoping to seek reward (from Allah alone and not from people), he shall be forgiven for his past sins.” Sahih Hadith Bukhari / Muslim

But Remember, perform Ibaadah with sincere heart! :P

Oh, last night we went to the Blue Mosque for Isya' and Tarawih prayer. Oh I couldn't resist the attention I got from the sisters (and not to mention some brothers as well). Some of them asked Ummi's permission to have a few photos of me, and some even wanted to have photos
with me. Ummi was just smiling and said yes. I was like, Oh noooo, not again! I heard them said 'Oh, cute' to me. What? I thought Ummi said I'm a big boy already every time I call myself baby. So shouldn't it supposed to be handsome instead?! Urghhh...
And Ummi also took a few photos of us there. Ummi said 7 years or so from now, if I don't want to perform my solah, she'll show those photos to me and say "Look Houdd, you were so dedicated in performing your ibadaah when you were so young. Don't you feel ashame of your own self?"
** Ummi is quite garang so I believe when the time comes, she'll say much more than that!"**

That's all for now. I would like to wish you all Happy Ibadaah in this last phase of Ramadhan, and Eid Mubarak!

Weekender

Hi friends, how are you?!
It's been a long time since my last story morry rite? I know! Well, what to do... been busy growing up and improving skills (Ummi is worry because I haven't walked yet. She says all of her friends' son/daughter has already walked. Herm... Why so hurry Ummi? I'm enjoying myself -being pampered- right now)

So many things to update but let just focus on those that have cheered me most.

The international book fair....
It was my first experience to such event. The fair was crowded. I love watching families gathered around and put their feet up on the hallways, reading and talking and spending time among themselves. It was such a real happiness for a family. I love watching kids and babies like me being introduced to reading materials in such an early age. It just that you know, babies are not preferred to be exposed to a huge crowd due to health and safety reasons.

OK, make it short.... Let us enjoy the photos!

Daddy and I...

 Recess time with Ummi...

Meet Dr. Ijan (Mommy), Uncle Fadzil and my friend Izzudin Al-Qassam (same age with me)

Daddy's books... And another 9 more...cost him 10X than Ummi's

These are Ummi's. She'd spent about RM160 for the books. OK, don't compare their intellectual level. Ummi said she won't spent her money for novels and chick books out of the fair. But she buys intellectual books any time... (You see, Ummi always has back up.Haha)

And this is for me. Ummi grumbled the whole day coz she couldn't get me the flash card version for my Jawi. But I'm fine with this one. Seriously! -Oh Ummi-

Sweet and serene Luncheon with Ummi and Daddy!
Why do I bring this up? Well, it’s normal for the 3 of us having an outside lunch during weekend. But for the past 2-3 weeks we (ummi and I) hardly have time with daddy. Daddy’s been busier these days. He returns home later than usual, and there was one night he returned home at 5.30 AM, had a nap and then woke up, performed Subuh prayer and went to work, again!

So Daddy took us to one good restaurant and told us that we can have whatever we want! Yayyy for Ummi, not really worked on me. What can I really eat with my 6 cute teeth? Tell me!

Happy belated birthday Onni!
I kinda like this most coz you know, it’s the only event that was meant for a (not so) baby like me. If you look at the photos, you can assume that it was a birthday party for a kid like me, not for a 48 year old Onni! Hahaha...

They played this funny game where you have to hide your face until the instructor order you to reveal it with the requested look. And they played tiger, sad, happy, funny, loving, angry, and even poo-poo looks. I didn’t play coz obviously my face remain cute regardless of what character I play. LOL.

Our big and hilarious family!

Even Tok Daddy? Oh dear...

Ummi and Daddy...

~ When you are a kid (like me), you don't really care about your surroundings. All that matter is you know you are safe with the people you love and they love you back for nothing... When you grow older, you meet more people, and you choose for who you really want to be with. You may no longer need your family coz you can take care of yourself. But then, when you lost, sad and lonely, all you would remember is those time that you'd spent with your family, and those feelings that kept you safe and alive when you were younger...~

P/S: I love you Ummi & Daddy!
OK, that's all for now. See ya later!
Assalamu'alaikum...

Cerita 'Eidul Adha Aaron Houdd...

Assalamu'alaikum kawan-kawan.
Yesterday was my first time of 'Eidul Adha celebration in my life. The feeling? Wohooo, it was tremendously awesome!

Early in the morning, I woke Ummi up (read carefully. Hehehe). We were already late coz what I heard last nite was we were supposed to wake up earlier. Thank God I woke them up. Otherwise, we might just having our eid by hearing takbir from the tv. Herm.... I am a good child am I? =p

Ummi was so gelabah preparing everything in a short time but she managed to succeed (I think when we become a mom, we'll be a superhero and can afford to do everything in one shot!)

Finally, we reached Masjid Negeri, just the time the muslims were about to pray. I followed Ummi upstairs to the muslimah section. The mosque was crowded and that was cool!

Ummi went to the end of the saff and put me beside her and she prayed. Just like that! I didn't quite really sure what to do so I just played with some stuffs Ummi brought from home. But I was bored so I kacau-kacau Ummi by tarik-tarik her jubah. She did nothing to respond! So I creep in front of her, intended to pass the other muslimah whom were also praying. But, Ummi took me back to her side and continue praying. It was quite fun so I did that several times and each time Ummi took me up and put me back to my place and she just continue praying until the end. Hehe...

After that, there was a sermon given by the imam. I didn't really listening to that coz I was busy playing with my new girl friend. She was an expectorate from India. But it took a few moments only coz I got tired and sleepy. Ummi breastfed me while listening to the sermon while I was enjoying myself on her lap, and Zzzzzz....

I woke up when I suddenly felt the heat of the sun burning my face. Oh, I was already outside the mosque. As usual, Ummi (the camera freak) took few pictures of us. Oh, and there was Maher Zain in the mosque (I dont know him, does he knows me?) coz I heard Ummi and Daddy was talking about him. But he had quite a nice voice, he did salawat after the prayer end.

Just woke up from sleep...

A beautiful water fountain I was looking at

Ummi and me
* I make a poyo face in all photos so that I look more macho*

After that, we went to nenek's house. I saw 5 cows waiting to be slaughtered. Dadddy told me the story of Prophet Ismail and his daddy Prophet Ibrahim. Then, I played with my nenek and aunties. I slept less because Auntie Shida sneezed aloud it woke me up! Phewww. Hehehe... But I enjoyed myself there.

Then, we went to Tok Daddy's house coz Daddy wanna go to KLIA to send his friend to Dubai. As usual, I got myself pampered by all the aunties! You see, if I grow up as a spoil brat, it is because so many people spoilt me! (I kinda likey anyway. Heeee)

OK, there is one story about Tok Daddy I wanna share. I heard Ibu and Ummi was gossiping about Tok Daddy so I just curik dengar.

This year the surau nearby Tok Daddy's house only got 1 cow to be qurban. So there was not enough meat to give to everybody. At first, Tok Daddy got his part. But he gave away his part to other people and just take the tulang-tulang yang orang dah tak nak and brought back home. He said, "Maybe this is the rezeki that we have for this year and we should be thankful. There are other people who need the meat more than we do"

After few hours, Tok Cik Cham (one of Tok Daddy's big bro) came and gave one kilo of meat to Tok Daddy. He said it was from one neighbour who did the qurban just among their family members (not at the surau). And after that, Ayah Asz (one of my uncle/my mom's cousin) came and gave another half kilo of meat. He said it was from the other neighbour. So all together we have had 1 1/2 kilo of meat, plus the bones!

See, the rezeki is all from Allah... Alhamdulillah...
Qurban means sacrifice. Eid Adha doesn't only mean we must have a big portion of meat. It means much more than that!

Huarghhh.... I'm sleepy now and that's all for today's sharing moment.
Bye!
